Discover Helford

Helford is a charming historical village surrounded by natural beauty. Take a stroll along the glorious banks of the Helford River leading out to the picturesque estuary and Helford Passage Beach. To the North of the estuary are the spectacular gardens and beach of Glendurgan (National Trust). Alongside the river you'll also find Port Navas and Gweek, home of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, a popular visitor attraction all year round. There are many footpaths and woodland walks around Helford, one of which leading to Frenchman's Creek, immortalised by Daphne Du Maurier's famous novel. In the village itself you can enjoy a sumptuous meal or just a drink in the riverside Shipwright's Arms and the local village shop caters for the essentials and more.
